We Are Being Reduced

Wednesday is the big day. Excited but freaked.

I won't be doing much blogging for a little while. I'll be focusing on healing.

Wish me luck.

I've been waiting in line for this
Now that it's taken forever
I insist
Until I get it, I can't breathe
Climbing high upon the rocky cliffs
We fly
With surgical focus.

I hope everything goes well.
I also hope that you are taking full advantage of the last days of this physique and robbing liquor stores, secure in the knowledge that they won't recognize you in a few days when you're mended and ready to party.

oh man, you are so totally brave to be going through with's going to be excellent for you! Take the surgery-recovery opportunity to eat a shitload of ice cream (yeah, I know it's not tonsils you're losing, but still), and good luck!

Nu? How'd it go? I hope you're comfortable with your ice cream and movies. (And, if you went with my chic scar suggestion, I demand photgraphic proof! Start that trend, babe!)

Hope the surgery went well and that the painkillers are giving you excellent attention span for all those great movies you will be sitting around and enjoying. Thinking of you. Hope you get to enjoy some delicious To-furkey.

You know, it's times like this that I hate Hallmark. Sure, there's tons of 'Happy 16th, Grand-nephew!' cards, but where's a 'Congratulations on your partial bilateral mastectomy!' card when you REALLY need one, huh?

I hope it went well, and that you're rocking the T3s like no one's business.

Hi Cam!!!

No one says boob job like you do.

hi guys,

thank you for the wellwishes.

i just wanted to let you know that I am OK. not great. but i'll get there.

i'm rocking it as best as i can, although my torso looks like it's been mangled in a bit of a car wreck.

at the risk of sounding lame and/or preachy, holy SHIT we take so much for granted! this morning i was really fucking thrilled to have the energy and agility to painlessly wash and moisturize my own face. And I blew my nose without pain! And yesterday, a bowl of grapes made my ENTIRE day. i swear.

anyway, i'm getting better every day and will be back in the land of the living really soon. in the meantime, i urge you to start appreciating little things. like laughing and coughing without an accompanying intense pain. and marmalade on bread.

happy thanksgiving.
